ERIC GORFAIN [violin] He’s played his violin with rock gods Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, Eric Clapton and Rod Stewart; pop divas Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson and Pink; mainstream artists Bryan Adams, Vanessa Carlton and Fiona Apple; soul giants Ray Charles and James Brown; and alternative bands Wilco, Live and A Perfect Circle, just to name a few. As a string arranger Eric has added his flair to songs by Sam Phillips, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Adams, The Twilight Singers, Rilo Kiley, Devendra Banhart, James Blunt, Grant-Lee Phillips, Sean Lennon, Fiona Apple, Maroon 5, Something For Kate and A Perfect Circle. In addition to writing string arrangements and playing violin as a session musician, Eric has produced Japanese rock bands; composed and produced music for video games and television shows; mixed album projects in such styles as rock, pop, punk, world/Celtic, orchestral and the blues; and even provided music supervision for video games. As the first-ever foreign studio violinist in Japan, Eric’s continuing personal and professional relationships take him to Japan every year. He is fluent in Japanese. |
